Our mission at Discarded By Society is to reshape the narrative for those who so often go unnoticed and undervalued in our communities. We believe in the power of creating and maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone who wants to work, but has been met with societal barriers, has a chance to thrive. By reshaping perceptions during the hiring process and throughout the work environment, we aspire to maintain a diverse team that truly represents the richness of our society.

We diligently seek to employ those who face barriers to employment—whether due to ableism—discriminatory biases and practices, vision impairment, those struggling with substance use disorder, ageism—older workers, past incarceration / justice-impacted , physical challenges, veterans, or any other societal hurdles—ensuring that every person who wants to work has a fair opportunity to do so with Discarded By Society either directly or through job placement. We are dedicated to empowering those we serve by equipping our clientele with direct employment opportunities, comprehensive job training, transitional employment programs, free computer training, affordable housing solutions, free substance use disorder counseling, contingency management interventions (pay to stay sober), and valuable apprenticeship programs. Through our expungement services, our goal is to restore opportunity and dignity, promoting a community where every person has the chance to flourish and contribute purposefully and meaningfully.
